PAID COACHING OPPORTUNITY – WOMEN’S COACH, LINACRE COLLEGE, OXFORD

Linacre College (Oxford) Boat Club is seeking a WOMEN’S PROGRAM HEAD COACH to begin October 1, 2009.

We want to build on the growing success of the women’s program, including last year sending 4 athletes to the Blues development squad and then onwards to respective lightweight/heavyweight squads (with one athlete racing for Osiris in the boat race 2009). This year, our first boat just missed blades during Summer Eights and moved up three places in the very competitive Division 2. We have also had a record for intake of novices, boating two full crews for the 2008 Christ Church regatta with high retention of athletes.

You will be supported by the club Executive Committee and will report to the women’s captain. You must commit to directly overseeing at least 3 outings per week in term time, which includes some novice coaching in the Michaelmas term (Oct-Dec) and a training program for senior boats the rest of the academic year. Opportunities to continue coaching into summer season 2010 will be available. The successful candidate will be paid £200-£300 per academic term.

Applicants are asked to submit a resume NO LATER THAN NOON, AUGUST 31, 2009. Candidates will be contacted for an interview September 7-11. For more information and to apply please contact:
