Jesus College Boat Club is currently arranging it's coaching provision for the 2010/2011 academic year, and are interested in recruiting experienced coaches to train a men's crew.

Our serious men's crews have been steadily improving, and we are looking to go further upwards, in bumps racing and also, increasingly, outside of Oxford.

We're interested in hearing from coaches to train our two top tier crews of 8, all of which are made up of very keen and able rowers who want more competition and more wins. We are a well resourced club, and as part of that we are willing to pay a competitive rate for strong coaches.

Our requirements are similar to most other colleges - early mornings and weekend training, on land and on the Isis, as well as attendance at the key Oxford regattas.

Obviously there is a lot to the job, but beyond the usual, the only point to stress is a need for openness and discussion of training plans with the boat and club captains.

We hope to make appointments certainly by the end of September, so if you are interested and qualified, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me, Edward Owen, at edward.owen@jesus.ox.ac.uk. I can provide much more information.
