St. Hugh's M1 Coaching Position

| In addition to the W1 position also advertised here, St. Hugh's M1 will also be taking on a new coach. Applications for the M1 position should go to john.mansell@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk , and the W1 position to katie.draper@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk . St. Hugh's offers the real prospect for a coach to make a name for themselves on the Oxford College rowing circuit, with a young eager squad, high quality training facilities and competitive pay. In my opinion the position is perfect for an ambitious coach to show their quality in taking the club onwards and upwards, most visibly in terms of our position in the Torpids and Eights standings. Applications must be in by 12 noon on the 9th September. Trial outings will take place on Saturday 11th September throughout the day. Successful applicants will be informed, and contracts offered within the few days following this. John | |

| This position is still open. St. Hugh's will be able to offer a contract worth around £2500-£3000 for the year for a committed coach who we feel will be able to take the boat to a new level. Please submit applications to john.mansell@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk before 1st October. | |

| To clarify some conclusion that has arisen - please ignore the deadline that was set before at the 9th September. We are re-trialling a second group of coaches for the M1 position only (the W1 position has been filled). If you would be interested in being among this group please get in touch as soon as possible. I will repost here once the position has been filled, until then, please assume it remains vacant. | |

| This position has now been filled. Thank you very much to all those who applied. We would now like to advertise for an Assistant Coach. We envisage the position being filled by someone who is looking to build up coaching experience and break into the Oxford coaching scene, though applications from anyone interested are welcome. This is a paid position. The Assistant Coach would work under Alan Sinclair, our current Head Coach, who has previously coached both Balliol M1 and Pembroke M1. He is a current rower at Leander with numerous medals from national and international competitions over the past few years. This position offers a great oppurtunity to learn from someone not only with experience of Oxford collegiate coaching, but also a wealth of rowing experience at the very top level. Anyone filling this role would be expected to coach around 2 senior outings for Michaelmas Term, providing feedback to the Head Coach. Currently we have a large squad consisting of essentially an M1 and M2 training at Godstow. In Hilary and Trinity terms the Assistant Coach would be responsible for coaching M2, and to a lesser extent a possible M3. Applications should be sent to john.mansell@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk | |
