Looking for a coach for the Queen's men's side 17/18 - with option to extend for the right candidate.

The side had a fantastic VIIIs campaign with M1 and M2 both winning blades and an M3 qualifying and bumping on the last day. Around 20 returners expected over the course of the coming year (some will be at OULRC till Trinity). Our aim for the next year would be to push M1 towards Eights Div 1 (currently 5th in Div 2) and into Torpids Div 2 (currently 3rd in Div 3). M2 is a rowing on boat for Torpids and currently 6th in Div 5 in Eights.

Focus would be on the first two boats with some input into any lower boats although definitely room for more involvement. The returning squad will have some good depth and commitment to continue the successes of this year - many of this years rowers were novices in MT so definitely room for improvement and further successes.

General Responsibilities:

- Overall responsibility for the senior training programme - focus on M1 and M2 past Michaelmas but with input to lower boat plans
- Selecting crews for Torpids and Eights as well as IWLs and external regattas
- Assisting the Captains and President in choosing external regattas to enter
- Devise race plans for Oxford races and others
- Assist in creating vacation training plans and monitoring squad progress

- Attending returners training camp in Oxford in -1st week
- Training returners throughout the term - including coxes upgrading and integrating with crews
- Assist Vice-Captain in training the novice boats and especially preparing for Nepthys and ChCh Regatta
- Select crews for IWLs, Nepthys and Wallingford (possibly) or other suitable external regatta
- Oversee novice transitions into senior squad and begin crew selections for Torpids

- Attend pre-season training camp (in Oxford or elsewhere tbc)
- Select crews for and attend one external regatta before Torpids (Bedford head likely)
- Train and select crews for Torpids

- Attend pre-season training camp (outside of Oxford)
- Train and select crews for Eights
- Attend possibly one pre-Eights external regatta

- All applications welcome
- Competitive salary with option to increase for exceptional candidates: Yearly sum paid termly
- Attend a minimum of 7/8 sessions a week across both boats, varying in each term
- Extended contract likely
- Coaching M1 and M2 is a must, flexibility on involvement in lower boats.
- Training camp and other ancillary costs (within reason) will be covered by the club
