St Hugh’s Men’s side are looking for a new head coach starting in Michaelmas, preferably for the whole academic year. Following a second place in Christchurch Regatta, M1 winning blades to reach into the top 20 boats of Eights and a competitive second boat put out in Torpids and Eights, we look forward to having a strong contingent of seniors returning in Michaelmas and welcoming in a new set of novice rowers. We are looking for a coach to take charge of senior training, and help St Hughs Boat Club move from strength to strength both in the major competitions in Oxford and potentially in some external races where possible.

Seniors train at Godstow doing 2-4 outings a week (including a double session at the weekend) with a launch and novice crews train at the Isis.
Pay is competitive and negotiable depending on experience.
Coxing experience is highly recommended but not necessary.
Duties include overseeing the training plan both on land and water, drawing up vac training plans and helping an assistant coach who will be hired in Hilary with crew selection for bumps racing.

Anyone interested in the position please email us at matthew.clark@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk and howard.hall@st-hughs.ox.ac.uk (cc us both in) with a CV and we will try to organise a trial outing in the coming weeks!
