St Hugh’s women are looking for a new head coach starting in Michaelmas after a successful year of racing. In total St Hugh’s women went up 7 places in Summer VIIIs, with our W2 bumping into fixed divs for the first time in 20 years. We will have a strong contingent of seniors returning in Michaelmas as well as a new crop of novice rowers. We are looking for a coach to take charge of senior training, ideally encouraging seniors to enter IWL and potentially some external races where possible, as well as to involve themselves in the training of the top novice crew.

Seniors train at Godstow doing 2-4 outings a week (including a double session at the weekend) and novice crews train at the Isis. Pay is competitive and negotiable depending on experience. Coxing experience is highly recommended but not necessary. Duties include overseeing the training plan both on land and water, drawing up vac training plans and helping an assistant coach who will be hired in Hilary with crew selection for bumps racing.

Anyone interested in the position please email us on and also should expect to do a trial outing
