Torpids didn't go so well? Try again at the Abingdon Head of the River race on sunday April 14th! This is a small friendly race and it couldnt be closer! Abingdon is just a few miles south of Oxford - a short 15 minute bus ride. You can either row down the day before (a nice 2 hr outing), or trailer. Several divisions and categories in sculling and sweep are available over the 2k course, with special prizes for college crews. Moreover, Abingdon rowing club sets up a legendary local beer tent, organic BBQ and homemade cakes stall for after your race. It's a great day out - don't miss it!
