Dear All,

Please could I remind you that two quiet zones now exist on the Isis in the
mornings, as defined by the rule below. Please make sure you and
particularly your coaches know about this - it isn't fair to wake the
slumbering residents of the tow path at hours when some people like to
sleep...

Quiet Zone
From an hour before sunrise to 9am the Isis has two quiet zones where
coaches and crews should make all reasonable effort to remain quiet and the
use of loud hailers or megaphones is prohibited (except in an emergency) out
of respect for neighbouring residential areas. These areas are:

1. Between the most downstream part of the most downstream bridge at
Longbridges and the first red safety buoy upstream of the house next to the
Longbridges House (this
includes all of the Longbridges spinning area)

2. Downstream of Haystacks corner.

(I know the rule was changed from "safety buoy" to "big red safety line/ring
throwing thing", but I can't remember what that is really called. Sorry! If
anyone is unsure of what the "big red safety line/ring throwing thing" looks
like, feel free to email me...)

Best Wishes,
Ben
