All,

We're now at green flag. However, before you start sending out complete
novices to gain experience, bear in mind that the hinksey radial weirs (the
ones that pull crews down at longbridges) are fully open. Please make a
thorough risk assessment before boating, and if you are not convinced your
cox can safely handle the boat, do not let him/her go out. Additionally,
whilst the stream at longbridges is strong, if you do spin there, please do
so correctly - Tom has sent numerous emails detailing how this is done.
Sitting across the middle of the Gut is not on. Neither spinning well
upstream of Longbridges. Crews going through the gut should not be impeded
by your crew if you are spinning at Longbridges.
