Dear all,

We have been extremely lucky with the weather during the past week: France=
got all the torrential rain which had threatened to dump on us, and as a r=
esult the river is good to go on Wednesday with standard summer conditions.

That means normal racing rules apply, including for coxing and substitution=
s. We will take a decision on Wednesday morning where to put the bunglnes:=
they will be at least +1 from usual Summer Eights, to give space for the =
14th position, but we may move them up another one depending on the wind co=
nditions at the time. For those who don't know, the 'usual' position of bu=
ntline 1 is right beside the Turn Early post.

A quick reminder for the last two days of training: please remember that n=
o crew should go even partly past the white Haystacks post. It marks the a=
greed limit of the useable river for colleges, to prevent congestion by the=
lock. Make sure you start spinning early enough NOT to have drifted past =
it while you turn. Thanks.

Please remember to stick to the essential circulation rules we outlined in =
the coxing briefing: fines come thick and fast if you ignore them. Please=
remember if marshalling that the river flows DOWN from the Head to Haystac=
ks. So you race UPSTREAM and you go DOWN to the bunglines from the boathou=
ses.

Good luck to everyone this week,

RQ for the SUs.
