Hiya,
Great day's racing yesterday

**THURSDAY VIIIs**
- To the second Longbridge's marshal, for continuous smoking whilst on
duty! Fine- none needed, smoking is enough of a fine in itself.
- To Osler House W2. For having the Baywatch theme tune over the cox-box...
A lesson that coxes really don't need to be listened to- a good old cheesy
tune should suffice to motivate the crew. Any bets on the tune today- I
would vote for "Don't stop believin'" by Journey, a personal favourite!
- To race desk's very own MC Darlington for spicing up the commentary
yesterday with not only sarcastic and cutting comments, but also entirely
made up stories of spectacular pushes by crews in Div 6!! A radio career is
definitely in the making!!
- To St. John's W3. For the quickest bump of the day on the bank on the row
to the start line. Instead of a fine, I feel a gift is required in such a
gutting circumstance- a new bow-ball! :)
- To St. Anthony's M1 whose cox in valiant futility attempted to cox the
entire race from the second stroke with a broken rudder!! Such weaving has
not been observed since, well, lets be honest, probably Division 6!!
-Indeed, to another undefined St. Anthony's crew, who whilst attempting to
search for the above aforementioned video managed to completely convince me
that their line through the gut was an incredible attempt to maintain
steering with no rudder. Unfortunately, it appears this was a different
crew with a perfectly intact rudder!!
- BNC- to the BNC crew pushed out so far they dropped their bungline. The
cox clearly needs longer arms!
- To Oriel M2. For singing Pokemon after getting the bump. In my opinion
this is so unacceptable on so many levels that this should be fined by
being forced to play the Pokemon themetune at full volume at any form of
boathouse party that may occur on Saturday, to the inevitable disgust that
will ensue towards Oriel by all other colleges!
- To St. Anthony's M2 for being the quickest bumped crew of the day, where
the bump was so quick that their cox didn't even have time to concede!

best of luck again for today. Have a great time!!
Matt
