University Squads - Represent Oxford University
Overview
Rowing at Oxford is represented at the University level by four different squads that cover the openweight and lightweight, male and female categories. These are Oxford University Boat Club (OUBC), Oxford University Women's Boat Club (OUWBC), Oxford University Lightweight Rowing Club (OULRC) and Oxford University Women's Lightwieght Rowing Club (OUWLRC).
In Oxford, lightweight is defined as, for men a crew average of no more than 70kg (max individual 72.5kg), and for women a max individual limit of 59kg. This is the competition requirement and entry into a lightweight squad may be above this weight. Nutrition advice is avaialble with and through all squads.
Coxes are always wanted by all four squads.
