While were in the process of having it repaired or replaced, would anyone have a working spare they could lend me, the sooner the better? I would of course be willing to collect it and take good care of it. We have plenty of enthusiastic rowers and we hope to be able to get on the river for two outings each day in a number of boats... but unfortunately we are short of coxes to make this happen. If any cox is around in Oxford, and free during these dates and fancies brushing up on their coxing before term starts we will be very glad to hear from you. Mon, 03 Jan 2011 18:51:54 +0000 peter.morten@hertford Just a reminder, especially with novice coxes, that you should stay as far right as possible on the river. Cutting the corner into the gut upstream or as you pass ChCh Boathouse ends up with crews in the centre of the river causing the intimidation of downstream coxes and the prohibition of any overtaking. Please remember that you will have a racing line in the race, but dont need one for training. You are only competing with yourselvesCutting the corners in the gut has the same problems. Visibility is very limited in the gut and so cutting the corners into it or the corners within it can result in collisions or near misses.
